The CPO Wind Quintet with pianist Pieter Grobler present a programme featuring Poulenc’s Sextet and Rimsky-Korsakov’s Piano Quintet
Concerts Connect is proud to present the CPO Wind Quintet with pianist Pieter Grobler on 30 August 2020 from the spectacular Moondance Villa in Fresnaye, Cape Town. The stream will start at 15:30 with an introduction to the venue, the artists and partner organisations. The concert will start at 16:00. The programme will feature Poulenc’s Sextet and Rimsky-Korsakov’s Piano Quintet.
The CPO Wind Quintet comprises the principal winds of the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra: Gabrielle von Dürckheim (flute), Lisa White (oboe), Daniel Prozesky (clarinet), Simon Ball (bassoon) and Caroline Prozesky (french horn). South African pianist Pieter Grobler completed his MM and DMA piano performance degrees in the USA. Grobler is currently a senior lecturer in piano performance and chamber music at Stellenbosch University.
Concerts Connect has partnered with the Cape Town Concert Series, the Etienne Rousseau Theatre Sasolburg in collaboration with NWU Arts, kayTee Soirées, the Montagu Music Society, Overstrand Arts/Kunste, and the PE Music Society in presenting this concert.
